One Last Christmas Card to Share

This is the last one I made using the scraps of paper that I have. Making these cards really didn't dent the scrap paper stack any so I am going to have to find other challenge for myself to use up the scraps before I buy any more paper.

Here it is.

This is the portrait style easel card. I may make a few more but at this time I am busy trying to catch up my December Daily album.

Hope you have a great day!!!

Yet another Christmas Card

Once again this is another card that I made with scraps that I have. I used scraps of scrapbooking paper, Christmas stickers, and rubber stamps.

This is the landscape style easel card and I am just loving making these!!!

How everyone has a great day!!!!

Christmas Cards

I have challenged myself to use scraps to make my Christmas  cards. I thought to myself if I want to get new papers then I need to use the scraps that I have now. Well when it comes to cards I get stumped on what to do. So I started searching Youtube for unique ideas on cards and make some for my family here in town.

I came across a few Youtube videos that had tutorials for easel cards. I got started making them and I don't think I stopped for a while. But this is one that I came up with.

Sorry for the blurriness I still have not found my camera battery charger.

I used scrap papers and Christmas stickers along with some rubber stamps and followed a number of tutorials on Youtube to assemble the card.

Hope you have a great day!!!

Catching Up....

I have been really busy with sick kids and dentist appointments, Christmas shopping and everything else that goes along with the holidays.

I am catching up on my December Daily and I am printing photos as we speak. I have all my journaling done for the last 10 days and now I am getting the photos done after I am done with that and a little more embellishing I am going to do a video of a flip through of the December Daily.

I am going to try and make some more blog post today as tomorrow I have to take my daughter back to the dentist because she grinds her teeth at night and broke one. I have a few more Christmas projects that I have been working on mostly tags but I will have pictures up later or on a different post. I am also working on Christmas cards.

Well that's all I have for today, hope everyone enjoys there day!!!

Another Daybook!!!

I have done another Daybook!!!

This one is using the DCWV Tattered Time paper stack and it is just using left over scraps from an album that I made a while back.

This one has more pages in it then the last one did.

I cut some of the corners with a ticket corner punch and just rounded the others.

I have no clue what I am going to put in it at this point I just love making them!!

So without further ado here is some photos:

Well that is all I have to share today! Time to make some Christmas cards!!

Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by!!!

December Tag!

OK, so as I have been going through things in my scraproom I came across so really cool glitter. The ideas just started reeling in my head. It is that time of year where there is snow and the beautiful holidays. I have seen several blogs and YouTube videos, etc that people make 12 Days of Tags for Christmas, well I'm not making the 12 tags at this point but I did decide to make a tag. I was also looking through my clear stamps and came across several images that I have never used before. I have every color on ink imaginable and I need to use it so taking a few stamps I have never used and the inks I hardly use this is what I came up with:

Front

Back

It is just something simple and pretty. I don't know the name of the stamps that I used but the inks are Real Red form Stampin' Up!, Green from Stampabilites, and Brown from Stampabilities. Various fibers and Stazon Ink in black. I stamped snow flake images as the background and layered 2 layers of a glitter that was large flakes on the bottom half of the tag. I then stamped the other images and cut them out and layered them on top of the glitter.

For the back stamped single snowflakes in various stops for the background. Then I took a say from a DCWV Vellum Quote Stack of Christmas and glued only the edges down with ZIG 2-way glue pen. It worked very well and you don't see the glue under the velum.

I think that the next thing on my list of small things to make is Christmas cards that I am going to hand out.

Well that is all for today! Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by!!!!

I'M ON A ROLL!!!

I have finally finished up my scrapbooking room and my mojo was lost somewhere within there. I am on such a roll that I have now finish 3 things that I have had half finished for some time now.

One being the Daybook that I posted on here (still no pics but its done), and then I finished up 2 mini albums, one that was a tutorial from Kathy Orta on Youtube. Here is a photo of the one I followed with Kathy Orta a while back.

And here is the other one that I finsihed. I will do a Youtube video flip through on this one soon.
I took these with my webcam sorry the quality of them are not that great.

I still have about 3 or 3 left to finish and that will be all of my unfinished projects and then I can start doing more layouts. I have though about doing videos from start to finish with layouts but I am also focusing on one thing at a time.

So that is all I have to share today, Hope everyone has a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!!!

If You Were A Camera Charger Where Would You Be......

I have been searching high and low for my Sony camera changer. It is my favorite camera to use for videos and taking pictures. I have a Kodak camera that I use only for when I forget my good camera and it stays in my purse. But it makes videos look really yellow. So in my latest Youtube video I had to talk really fast and flip through my Handmade Daybook quickly. So if you have and questions on that please message me on here or on Youtube.

It is very frustrating so I may have to start using my webcam to record videos until I find my charger!

So here is some photos of the Handmade Daybook with some embellishments in it. I might do another video when I get it filled with my pictures.

I have not added pictures yet that is next on my list of things to do. I am going to try and finish up some other albums that I have that need to be done and try and get some videos done.

My First Handmade Daybook!

Today I finally finished a Handmade Daybook that I have been working on for a while now. It is just the base but its finished, now it needs the pictures and the embellishments. I am thinking of using it for a camping trip that we took either this year or last years.

You can buy pre-made Daybooks that are made by Amy Tangerine  or you can make your own.

Here is the front of the book.
The cover is acetate and I stamped it with StazOn ink in Jet Black and one of my cling stamps.

The book is made out of random scraps of paper that I had laying around and several different corner punches on every other page.

The back cover is also acetate and stamped with Stazon Ink in Jet Black.

I am now going to go and embellish it and hopefully have it finished for tomorrow so that I can post pictures. Cleaning up my scraproom  has inspired me to scrapbook again. I think my mojo was lost in my messy scrapbooking room and I have now found it again now that I have cleaned and sorted and got rid of things.

(Check my Youtube for an up coming video of a sneek peek on the inside of this Daybook and for the final project completed).

Sneek Peek!!!

Here is a sneek peek of what I have  been working on. It is a December Daily Lapbook. I followed Kathy Ortas Tutorials on Youtube (there is 7 in all, check here to check the 1st one out!!). I am in no way taking credit of this, this was idea I just followed along and made my own using her directions and a different paper line and embellishments.

I had a lot of fun making this album and this will be my first year doing the December Daily. It is where you document everyday with pictures and journal from December 1-25. I will make a video of the flip through and post it on my Youtube channel HERE.

I have to finish my scrapbooking room today but I do say that since I have cleaned, sorted and got rid of things I have now found my mojo again. It was somewhere in the mess and I found it.

Here is a couple of pictures of the final clean up.

This is a picture of the mess that I still have to clean up. You can't see it in the pictures above becasue its hidden by the stuff in the middle of the room hehehe.
Its still a little cluttered but it is functional. I have plans on re-organizing in the near future and buying some new storage. Out with the brown dresser and cabinet and in with something new.

How you all enjoyed today's post and Thanks for stopping by!!

Chaos!!!

OK so I don't  have any pictures to show you this time around but I thought that I would clean up my scrapbooking room so that I can get my motivation back so that I can finish unfinished projects and start on new ones. As I was coming to a close on finishing up on the clean I drop my jewelry making stuff and little beads scatter everywhere!!! I start to throw a tantrum and my wonderful husband comes to the rescue and tells me to take a break and walk away. So I walk away and he cleans it up for me.

My scrapbooking room has been a complete and utter mess for a while now. I was working very hard on it and I think I was concentrating to hard on it and that's when disaster struck for me. I am now going to take the rest of the night off and work on something else or even relax and read a book.

After I get my room fully done and reorganized and cleaned then I am going to start some kinda of Advent calendar for my kids this year. I think it will be a fun thing for them. I have never done it before. I am really getting into the holiday season this year because we put up the Christmas tree last night with the kids. That was a lot of fun but we realized that we lost a box of Christmas decorations and it had the lights to the tree in it. So we now have a tree with no lights but like I said on my Facebook status it still looks good because the kids helped.

This is how I feel with my scrapbooking room at this point.
I know that I will get through the last hurtle with my scrapbooking room. I just need to step back for today and finish tomorrow. Yes, I hate leaving things half done because I am afraid that I will not finish them but at this point I have no choice.

But I think I am done with the post for today and I am going to play around with blogger some because I think I just figured something out (setting a schedule for post to publish). I really haven't played around with it to much so now is a good time as any.

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Mojo Lost, If Found Please Return.

I am in the process of finding my mojo to get started on Christmas gifts. With Thanksgiving just 3 days away it has motivated me to find my mojo.

I have started on Kathy Ortas December Daily as that is another thing I would like to do. Follow the link HERE to watch her Youtube Mini Series on how to create her December Daily Album.  I have so many things that I want to start doing but my mojo has up and left me.

Another thing that I have been looking into starting is Project Life. That I would like to start at the being of next year and follow through with it for life. I think it would be a fun way to document things that happen in my families lives on a everyday basis. I know its a lot to keep up with but if I can put aside time to work on it I can do it.

Here I am talking about starting new things when I have so many unfinished projects going on as it is. I have at least 4 mini albums that are half finished and layouts upon layouts that need to be finished and pictures put on them. I have SMASH books that I need to put all of my memorabilia in them and "smash them". Needless to say I have more ideas of different type of SMASH books I would like to do.

As I write and put it all out there I think I feel the creative spark coming back!!!

I am also trying to clean up my scrapbooking room and I think that is a big part as to why I cant get motivated to create something. I look at my room enter it for a moment and walk right back out. So I think if I finish cleaning it up that will also inspire me to create something as well.

I have a few mini albums that I do have finished that I will be making videos on soon but maybe not until after the holidays.

Well now that I have rambled on I am going to stop this post here. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Surpirse, I'm behind!

I have been busy watching my baby niece and she is a handful and requires lots of attention. I love her lots though. I have been busy re-organizing my scrapbooking room because my mother-in-law down sized her room and gave me lots of things. Thank you very much for everything.

I have been doing a lot of the scrapbooking layout kits that she gave me (she was in a club). I have now finished them and plan on moving on to using all the wonderful embellishments that she has given me and making layouts and mini albums. I have so many ideas and things I want to do but I am still looking for a job and I have dedicated the time I have while I am not watching my niece and the kids are at school to look for one.

As far as Youtube videos I did put up 2 new ones a few weeks ago (Click Here to View). It will be awhile til I get new ones up because of all the things I have on my plate right now. If all things go right I am going to try and do videos on the weekends if I get a job, the only thing is that they will be a little nosier because the kids will be home. I will also try and do better about keeping up with my blog. I know I have said this in the past but if I want followers and to keep the followers I have I need to keep it updated.

Now time for a picture share!!

My daughter had no school on Friday due to Parent Teacher  Conferences. I decided that we have a mommy and daughter day and do our nails. Well I got the bright idea to do something for Halloween. Well I didn't have any Halloween colors, so we went to Dollar General and bought at least 8 new colors.

She didn't want her nails painted in a Halloween Fashion so I painted them as her school mascot (which is Aztec Tigers). I am very happy the way they came out and so is she.

Without further ado here are her nails.

I thought is would be fun to do my nails in a Halloween fashion. They are not the greatest but its not bad for a first try.

If you cannot tell from the picture my pinky in suppose to resemble Frankenstein, my ring finger is suppose to resemble a witch , my other finger is a pumpkin, my pointer finger is a ghost and my thumb is suppose to resemble candy corn.

Hope everyone has a great day and Thanks for stopping by!!

Trying to catch up!

I have been really busy trying to get my life and family more organized. I have also been watching my niece so posting to the blog and making Youtube videos have been a little challenging considering she is only 4 months old today!

I have been working on a lot of layouts and trying to get pictures scrapped up to at least 2009. I ordered 2 sets of prints, I already have one set I ordered and the next set should be in today and they are from 2010. I am not saying that I ever will be up-to-date on my scrapbooks but I can at least try. I am thinking of doing a video of a start to finish on a layout process. I think I need to change things up from just mini albums to layouts and maybe even some cards in the future.

As far as me getting a job I am still looking. I have put my resume in everywhere and I have not heard anything from anyone.

So I thought I would check in and let ya know what is happening. Watch for videos coming soon.

Have a great day!!!

Magic of Oz Mini Album

I thought I would stop and say hi to everyone! I have been a little busy watching my baby niece. In my spare time I have been working on some albums that I have not finished in a very very long time. I did do a video on one of the ones that I finished and I also did a video on my scraproom tour. If you have not seen those you should check them out by clicking HERE. Don't forget to subscribe and leave a comment as well. I would love to hear some feed back. Also if you are not a follower of my blog you should really follow, there are a lot of fun things to come!!! I have also been trying to catch-up on some of my layouts as well. I have been lacking in the layout department because I am so stuck on making mini albums. Yes, I have filled some of them with pictures but I seem to just make them and put them on a shelf for show without the pictures in them. I am thinking of maybe selling a few of them because I have so many of them. I have even given some away and still have an over abundance of them. So below you will find a album that I would like to share with everyone.

Checking in and Updates!!!!

I have some very sad news, I will no longer be a Stampin' Up! Representative at this time. I hate to say that, but I am planning on going back to college to be a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and right now I need to devote all my time on that goal. It does not mean that in the future I will not do it again but right now I believe it is the best thing for me. Becoming a CNA is what I really want right now. I love the medical field and this is something that I am looking to start into. I am already a Certified Medical Transcriptionist with and Associates degree but that job is becoming more and more obsolete and everything is turning into touch pads and computers that do the job of transcribing dictations instead of an actual person.

So with that being said I have been trying to catch up some projects that I have been working for a very long time and I am almost done and ready to make videos, along with a new scraproom tour. I still need to do some cleaning in my scraproom and put some things away still but I am almost there.

Summer has been very busy and eventful for the Hepner/Hill household. We have done so many things already and summer only started officially a few weeks ago. On the road trips that we have taken and the trips camping I have been trying my hand at some photography. It is another thing that I love and scrapbooking and photography go hand in hand.

I will still be making videos but they will not be Stampn' Up! videos, they will be of all the projects that I have been working on in my off time. I am planning on having some kind of scrapbook related give away soon on my Youtube channel since I have almost reached 100 subscribers (28 away!!!). Once I reach 100 I will have more details on the give away.

Here is one of the pictures I took on one of our trips I would like to share.

I am really into taking nature pictures. :)

Here is another of a bird that I took on one of our outings!

I will still be writing on blog as often as possible and keeping everyone updated on the scrappy projects that I complete. Stay tuned for more posts!!

Have a scraptastic day!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

Long time no blogging! We have finally settled into our new house and it has been busy with the kids out of school for the summer. We ended up taking a family trip the weekend after the kids got out of school, they got out the 24th of May and we went the following weekend. We had a blast at a Biopark which was the Zoo, Aquarium, and the Botanic Garden. We rode and train from the Aquarium\Botanic Garden to the Zoo. It was a fun filled day. The day before we went to a place called Tingley Beach and it had 3 ponds in it and was along the Rio Grande River. We let the kids play in the Rio Grande the first day that we go there because it was so hot. The train also runs through there as well.

As some of you may know that the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog came out on June 1st and it had lots of great yummies in it plus it has a new look with project ideas using the products. I have several ideas using the products that are found in the new catalog. If you click on the old catalog on the let side bar it will take you to the new catalog. I have to update the picture but the link is still the same. Workshops will start back up next weekend (this weekend we have 2 birthdays back to back, my youngest who will be 6 and my oldest who will be 12). I am thinking of starting up a stamp club if anyone is interested please leave me a comment but more details to come on that matter.

I am working on a few video tutorials so more videos are coming now that I have more time to work on them.

Moving Update 1

Well we have packed most of the things that we don't use on a daily basis. Like the stuff in the closets and such. We have gone through the little shed out back and have narrowed it down from like 50 tubs to only about 10 or so. I did not realize how much junk we actually had until I started to go through things and I was like oh so that is where the such n such went lol. But I have a saying that I am trying to stick by and that if I haven't used it or seen it in over 6 months then it needs to go. It may have had a purpose before but it doesn't have one now. I have packed up most of my scrapbooking stuff not all of it yet but I have so much that I thought that it would take longer but boy was I wrong.

We did find a place in the town over that is a hop, skip, and jump away (I mean it is only a 10 minute drive from my house now if that). We go and sign the lease tonight and we can start moving in by May 11. I am so excited because where we are now we have no grass all we have is dirt. At the new house we have grass in the back yard and the front yard is decorated but it is zero landscaped. It comes with a swing set for the kids to play on and a play house. It also comes with a jacuzzi as well!!! I am so excited about it because I may even have my own scrapbooking room now and not just some corner in my bedroom. We have a kitchen table that will fit in the kitchen (the kitchen itself is huge) so I am going to try and use the dining room for my scraproom, I am hoping so at least.

I was bummed about having to move since we have been here for 5 years and all but now I am excited. I don't live in the best neighborhood now so to move from here is a blessing to me. The schools are also better in the town that we are moving to and it will be a little closer to my baby brother who has moved to the state about us (Colorado). As soon as I can I will post pics of the new house but for now it is time to get to more packing.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

NEWS UPDATE

We had some things come up this week that was not good news although we did receive some good news on April 2. My niece was born!! So I am now officially an aunt!! She is so adorable!!!

                                                         Kylie Jade Haddock

And here is a picture of the new happy little family!!!

Now down to the bad news. I am going to have to put some things on hold for a little while. As far as posting Youtube tutorials I am only going to be able to do one a week maybe. The Card Kit Club will still continue as planned. Workshops will be put on hold because we have to move so I have to pack everything up and then unpack at the new house. Things will be in disarray for a little while and will pick back up in the middle of May. This was very unexpected so we are on a time crunch to get things packed and moved. Plus I am getting another job as well to help afford the new house so that cuts into things as well. I will still post on my blog as the computer will probably be one of the last things to get packed and taken to the new house. I will keep everyone updated as we go.

Busy, busy!!

I am not posting a video today because I am trying to do some Spring cleaning in my crafting space and the rest of the house. :) I still have some openings for next months card kit club if you are interested please leave a comment. Also I would like some suggestions on what types of videos you would like to see on my Youtube channel for crafting. Another thing I would like to have suggestions for is future kit clubs. I would like to gather info on this because I need to know what everyone is into so that I can make everyone happy plus have suggestions. I have several things to get ready for: First I need to finish getting Card Kit Club kits packed and ready for shipping and I also need to finish up the projects for this weekends and next weeks workshops.

Today I am sharing a picture of my daughter at her Orchestra concert. (She is the little blonde girl) She plays the violin and hopes to some day master it and be able to play in a well known Orchestra.
